About Me

As a Front-End Web Developer, I specialize in creating the responsive front-end of websites, providing an interface to let users easily communicate with complex back-end technologies and thus helping my clients achieve their goals. I'm mainly focused on responsive layouts, HTML5, CSS3, SASS, JavaScript, Vue, Single Page Applications (SPAs), Bootstrap, and jQuery. I have been excited about web development since I landed my first job in the industry, and the constant change in technology keeps me as invigorated as the day I started. I love working collaboratively and I'm especially interested in working with organizations that have a strong desire to create great user experiences.

Developed and maintained numerous websites in the EdTech space. Used Drupal 9 to implement code and various features. Complex daily workflow involving Docker, GitHub, CircleCI, & Pantheon host. Active in daily scrums. Part of team that was updating numerous sites to newer pages/designs. Position was fully remote.

Front-End Web Developer

Builders FirstSource • April 2015 - May 2022

Worked as a Front-End Web Developer in a dynamic team setting. Built responsive pages and components with HTML, CSS and JavaScript in the Hybris eCommerce platform. Debugged and optimized code. Customized jQuery libraries for use on web properties. Utilized dynamic, responsive asset libraries. Created a custom blog application powered by Vue.js. Used UI Performance Optimization Techniques. Troubleshot pages in Chrome & Firefox Dev Tools. Provided advice on best practices for website interface elements and layout in a large eCommerce deployment. Handled tickets in JIRA. Web Developer

AirClean Systems • November 2014 - April 2015

Developed an employee database application with PHP/MySQL which allows job applicants to search for jobs and submit resumes via the company website. JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, Bootstrap, and HTML5 were also utilized on this project. Maintained and updated several company web properties. Other responsibilities included managing email campaigns in iContact, along with cleaning and managing numerous email lists.

My concentration was in Air Quality. GPA: 3.85. After graduation I worked as a contractor to US EPA as an Environmental Scientist on Air Quality matters.
